Welcome to the Website of the Bittern Fire Brigade.
Bittern located on the western side of Western Port Bay and forms part of Western Port Group in District 8.
Bittern has a great role in supporting the community in responding to incidents which include structure fires, grass fires, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous materials and various other types of incidents that might occur from time to time.
Members also could be asked to respond to incidents outside the area including all parts of Victoria and other states.
Bittern also supports other local communities including Hastings, Crib Point and Balnarring.
Bittern Fire Brigade is fully run by Volunteers and have a proud tradition in serving the community in a time of need.
We have approximately 40 members at Bittern Fire Brigade and form a great team to provide a service that is greatly needed.
